Our Key Engineering client based in Chepstow is a market leader in the design & manufacture of various solutions to companies worldwide and in a large variety of industries. In recognition of their success and innovation, the company has won many awards including four prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in International Trade and Innovation. During a period of expansion and consistent growth, they are now looking for an experienced Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Manager to support their continued international development. This role will be reporting directly to the Operations Director.

 

Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Manager Job Role

 

To be a Manager who can take ownership of the systems & procedures to ensure operation functions can achieve rapid and sustainable growth.

 

Providing strong leadership with a coaching and mentoring approach ensuring the buy in of all employees to the Quality systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Managing day to day tasks within the QA Department ensuring internal compliance with their QA Systems & externally with all the legislative requirements.
Driving continuous improvement in QA Processes.
Ensuring testing& auditing is carried out to an improved schedule, non-conformances are investigated and corrective actions closed out.
Approving supply chains across multiple categories.
Working closely with other internal departments to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Providing technical guidance when required, ensuring team members are driven, motivated and working towards quality driven results for the business.
To identify and ensure the deliverables consolidate the structure required to deliver company KPIs via the Quality Operations team.
To develop a continuous improvement culture to drive profitability.
Motivate and engage operational teams toward, particularly during times of business change and project delivery.
Support the company drive to create a working culture that prides itself on quality H&S and customer service.
Deliver a service that is compliant, meets the contractual obligations and that customers have a positive service experience.
Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Manager Skill Set

Experience as a Quality Engineer/Manager working within a manufacturing environment.
Analytically minded with excellent attention to detail.
Experience in managing a small team in a similar position.
Experience in direct customer and supplier interfaces.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills.
Competent process management knowledge.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of awarding bodies and accreditations.
Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Manager Education & Qualifications

Higher level of Education eg: A Levels, HNC, Degree.
A minimum of 3 years experience within a Quality HSE Environment.
Evidence of Continuous professional development activities eg: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality, Health Safety & Environmental Certificates.
Mechanical Engineering background.
Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Manager Hours, Pay & Benefits

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday DAYS

Salary: £30 to 35K(dependent upon experience)
